Good to know
Keep it serviced
Your car must be serviced to the manufacturer’s schedule at a VAT-registered garage, and you should keep the invoices. If there’s no service history, the first service is due within 10,000 miles or 12 months.
Get approval first
If something goes wrong, your garage must call Autoguard and get a repair authorisation number before any work starts.
What isn’t covered
Wear and tear, servicing, consumables (such as brakes, tyres, bulbs and wiper blades), bodywork, and faults caused by neglect or accidents.
Limits
Each repair is covered up to your plan’s limit, and total repairs over the plan are capped at the car’s purchase price.
14-day cooling off
If you change your mind about a plan you’ve paid for, return it to us within 14 days of issue for a refund.
Selling your car?
Plans can be transferred once to a new private owner for a £35 fee, provided no repairs have been claimed.
Autoguard plans are Repair and Maintenance Plans administered by Autoguard Warranties Ltd. They are not insurance and are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Cover is subject to the full terms and conditions in the plan booklet, which we will give you before you buy. A plan is in addition to, and does not affect, your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
