What we collect and why
Enquiries and contact forms
When you use our contact or vehicle enquiry forms we collect your name, email address, phone number and your message. We use this to reply to you and deal with your enquiry. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to customers.
Test drive bookings
When you book a test drive we collect the vehicle you are interested in, your preferred date and time, your name, email address, phone number and any message. We may ask to see your driving licence and insurance details when you arrive. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in protecting our vehicles.
Selling your car to us
When you ask us to value or buy your car we collect vehicle details (registration, make, model, year, mileage, colour, condition, service history and asking price) together with your name, phone number, email address and postcode. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Buying a vehicle
If you buy from us we keep the records needed to complete the sale, register the vehicle, handle any warranty or aftersales issues and meet our tax and accounting duties. Lawful basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation.
Finance
We are not a lender. If you ask about finance, we introduce you to a credit broker, who may pass your application to one or more lenders. With your agreement we share the details needed to start your application. The broker and any lender will carry out their own checks, which may include credit searches, and will give you their own privacy notice explaining how they use your information.
WhatsApp, phone and email
If you message us on WhatsApp, call or email us, we receive your contact details and anything you send. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp Ireland / Meta, and your use of it is covered by their own terms and privacy policy.
Messages you send us on WhatsApp may first be answered by an automated AI assistant (Meta’s Business AI), which uses the information on our website and business profile to reply to common questions. It cannot agree prices, arrange finance or make decisions about you. If you would prefer to speak to a person, just say so and a member of our team will reply.
Website chat
If you use the chat feature on our website, we receive the messages you send and any contact details you choose to share, and use them to answer your questions. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to customers, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Website analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed and how people found us. Google Analytics only runs if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. Lawful basis: consent. See “Cookies” below.
Security and site statistics
Like most websites, our server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site secure and to block attacks (using the Wordfence security plugin), and to see basic visitor numbers. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies and storage: these make the website work, for example remembering your cookie choice and the vehicles you save or compare. These do not need consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, names beginning
_ga): these are only set if you accept them. They last up to 2 years.
Some pages link to our YouTube channel and to Google Maps. If you follow those links, Google’s own cookies and privacy policy apply.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Who we share your information with

- Service providers who help run our business, such as our website host, email provider and IT support, who only act on our instructions
- Google (Analytics, only with your consent) and Meta (WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us that way)
- The DVLA, insurers, warranty providers, HMRC, the police or other authorities where this is needed to complete a sale or required by law
We never sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of our providers, such as Google and Meta, may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and test drive bookings that do not lead to a sale: up to 2 years
- Sales, purchase and finance introduction records: 6 years after the transaction, to meet tax and legal requirements
- Analytics data: up to 14 months
